This Privacy Policy explains how MyReceiptMaker ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use myreceiptmaker.com (the "Service"). Your use of the Service is also governed by our Terms & Conditions.
1. Information we collect
A. Account information
Email address and account settings.
If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (typically your email address, name, and a Google account identifier). We do not receive your Google password.
B. Receipt content and uploads
Information you enter to generate receipts (e.g., merchant name, items, prices, totals, dates, notes, and similar fields).
Files you upload (e.g., logos/images).
Receipt content may include personal data depending on what you enter. Only upload/enter information you have the right to use.
C. Payment information
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive payment confirmation and limited metadata (e.g., transaction ID, plan, status). We do not store full card numbers.
D. Usage and technical data
IP address, browser type, device information, pages/actions, timestamps, referrers, and security/diagnostic logs.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Service.
- Store your receipts so you can access them later (until you delete them).
- Provide support and respond to requests.
- Secure the Service, prevent abuse/fraud, and enforce our Terms.
- Improve the Service and understand usage (analytics).
- Send essential service communications (security and billing-related).
We do not send marketing emails at this time.
3. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies for:
- Strictly necessary functions (login/session, security).
- Analytics via Google Analytics to understand usage and improve the Service.
You can control cookies through browser settings. Where required, we will request consent for non-essential cookies via a cookie banner/preferences tool.
4. How we share information
We share information with:
- Vercel (hosting/infrastructure) to run the Service.
- Stripe (payments) to process subscriptions.
- Google Analytics (analytics).
- Authorities or others when required by law or valid legal process, or to protect rights/safety and investigate abuse.
- Parties involved in a business transfer (merger/acquisition/asset sale).
5. Receipt privacy and deletion
- Receipts are private by default.
- We store receipts until you delete them.
- To delete receipts or request account deletion, email support@myreceiptmaker.com
- We may verify you own the account.
6. Data retention
- Receipts: until deleted by you.
- Account data: while active; removed after deletion request is processed (subject to limited exceptions).
- Billing records: as required for accounting/tax compliance and fraud prevention.
- Security logs: retained for a limited period.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards (e.g., access controls and encryption in transit). No system is completely secure.
8. International processing
Your information may be processed in other countries (including the United States) due to our service providers. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact support@myreceiptmaker.com to exercise rights.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or higher where required), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
